Charges for attending PSU are determined based on number of credits?taken, residency status, and undergraduate/graduate class standing. Your tuition and fees will vary based on your program, the number of credits you take, your residency status, your class standing, and many other factors. Postbaccalaureate

Postbaccalaureate students are assessed at the undergraduate tuition rate for all courses that they take numbered 499 or below and assessed at the graduate tuition rate for all courses that they take numbered 500 or above. Financial aid eligibility for postbaccalaureate students depends on the program. In addition, please note that students enrolled in differential tuition classes will be assessed higher rates for those specific courses. Residency for Tuition Purposes

Students with resident status are assessed in-state tuition and nonresident students are assessed a higher level of instructional fees that more closely approximates the actual cost of instruction. The Residency Guide & Procedures?is designed to help students understand the classification criteria and the process by which residency classification is determined. Transfer students who were classified as residents of Oregon at their previous school should not assume that they will be classified as residents at PSU. Mandatory Fees for the 2022-2023?Academic Year

The costs listed below are estimated based on full time enrollment (12 or more credits per term for undergraduates and 9 or more credits per term for graduate students). Your costs could vary depending on how many credits you take each term.?

Building?	This fee is allocated to pay debt service associated with past construction and renovation projects on the PSU campus. Any additional funds collected are put into a reserve or used for small construction projects. The amount varies depending on the number of credits a student is enrolled in. The Student Fee Committee is responsible for recommending the amount and allocation of the building fee to ASPSU and the President. ?	$45.00
Incidental	This fee funds services such as Student Activities & Leadership Programs, resource centers, childcare services, and athletic activities. The amount varies depending on the number of credits a student is enrolled in. The Student Fee Committee is responsible for recommending the amount and allocation of the incidental fee to ASPSU and the President.	$323.00
Health Service	The Student Health Center Fee is a mandatory fee assessed to all students taking 5 or more in-load, non-Restricted Differential Tuition credit hours. The fee is in place to support all of the services offered by the?Center for Student Health and Counseling (SHAC)?both remote and in-person. Academic Student Recreation Center	A fee assessed each term to fund the construction, maintenance, and operation costs, and to purchase and maintain equipment, for the Academic and Student Recreation Center Building.	$44.00

Online courses have an additional fee of $22 per credit.

Matriculation fee of $450 for all new students is billed at the beginning of the first term.?A one‐time fee charged to newly admitted, degree‐seeking?undergraduate and graduate students to cover costs associated with admissions,?student orientation, transcripts, information technology and other services related to?the enrollment of new students.?

PSU health insurance premium of $1,108.00 per term; however, students have the option to?waive the health insurance premium with proof of insurance.

Restricted Differential Tuition

Tuition and fees for Restricted Differential Tuition courses are assessed separately from the charges associated with regular courses. The tuition costs for Restricted Differential Tuition course sections are listed in the fees column in the?Class Schedule.?Credits associated with Restricted Differential Tuition courses do not count toward a student's enrollment status. Thus, an undergraduate student enrolled in 8 credits of regular classes and a 4-credit Restricted Differential Tuition course is assessed regular tuition for 8 credits plus the additional course fee for the Restricted Differential Tuition course. The costs of Restricted Differential Tuition courses do not include Incidental fees, the Student Health Fee, or the Student Health Insurance Plan.?Therefore, students registered?only?for Restricted Differential Tuition Courses are not eligible to use services supported by?Incidental fees, the Student Health Fee, or the Student Health Insurance Plan.

Students enrolled in Restricted Differential Tuition courses are charged the $44 per term Student Recreation Center fee and will have full access to the Recreation Center and related services. Students who drop a Restricted Differential Tuition course after the 100%?refund period?deadline?will be responsible for the charges. To petition the charges, see the?petitions?page.
